Dr. Sherry Weaver

Dr. Sherry Weaver: is a native Georgian. She worked her way through veterinary school at the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech by working in clinics around Atlanta. In 1992 she graduated from the University of Georgia of Veterinary Medicine where she was inducted into the Phi Zeta honor society. In 2000 Dr. Weaver opened her own practice, The Animal Hospital of Towne Lake and in 2004 moved her growing staff to our state of the art hospital she built. Her dream of designing and building a special place for cats to receive quality medicine in a warm, quiet and cozy place was realized in 2007 with the opening of the Cat Clinic of Woodstock.

 Dr. Amy Gifford

Dr. Amy Gifford: joined our practice in 2003. She obtained a BS in biochemistry, then studied at UGA's College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000. She began working in private practice in the West Cobb area before accepting an associate position with us in 2004 moving to Woodstock, making it her home.

Dr. Lisa King

Dr. Lisa King: joined our growing group in 2008, after directing a practice for 12 years in Alpharetta. A graduate of Auburn University, Dr. King received her Bachelor's Degree in Zoology in 1992 and went on to attend the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1996. Her professional special interests include dentistry and behavior issues. Dr. King is involved in numerous civic and professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Dentistry Society; the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Beth Nunn

Dr. Beth Nunn: joined us in 2009 and is the most recent addition to our staff. Originally from Michigan, she received her bachelor's in biology from Michigan State University. She graduated from Michigan State's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, moved south, and has been practicing in the area ever since.Her special area of interest is in animal physical rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.
 

Dr. Jennifer Monroe
Graduated from Louisiana State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She joined our team June 2014 with special interests in Skin Allergy & Dermatology. Dr. Monroe enjoys internal medicine and work ups but especially loves client education and community outreach. She and her husband share a house in Kennesaw along with her five cats: Cinnamon, Sam, Fye, and Rogue, and her two dogs: Emma and Koko. She loves baking, hiking, and traveling to new places.

Dr. Mary Ashley Jantzen

Dr. Mary Ashley Jantzen grew up in the Marietta area.  She obtained her BS in marine biology from the College of Charleston and went on to Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated summa cum laude in the top 3 students of her class.  After also receiving awards in small animal internal medicine and the "Altruistic Award" in 2013 she joined our practice.

Dr. Jantzen's special areas of interest are ophthalmology, internal medicine and oncology.  She also has a passion working with exotics.

After the recent purchase of her first home with her husband, she enjoys time decorating, reading and spending time with rescue mutt KC and kitties Larry and 3 legged Eileen ("I lean").
